FAQ

Common questions.

Don't see your question? Reach out! I'm happy to answer.

Do you offer virtual therapy?+

Yes — I offer secure video sessions to clients located anywhere in North Carolina, in addition to two in-person office locations in Charlotte.

What ages do you work with?+

I work with children as young as 4 through adults, plus family units. Play therapy for younger kids is held at the York Center Rd office; family and adult sessions are held at the S Tryon Street office.

What approaches do you use?+

I'm EMDR trained and Emotion Focused Therapy trained, and I integrate faith from a Christian counseling perspective when it's meaningful to the client. Every plan is tailored to what fits you best.

Do you offer faith-based / Christian counseling?+

Yes. Faith integration is available on request — sessions can include a Christian counseling lens, or stay fully secular if that's what you prefer.

How long are sessions?+

Individual therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes. Family sessions may run 60–75 minutes depending on the presenting concerns.

Do you take insurance?+

I am currently in-network with Aetna. I also offer self-pay options at $180 for an initial intake session and $140 for regular 50-minute sessions. I have a limited number of sliding-scale spots available as well, so if cost is a concern, please feel free to reach out and we can talk about options.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?+

The free 15-minute consultation is designed for exactly this. It's a low-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit before you commit to anything.
